Attitude is a term usually used as an expression of emotions, feelings, belief, judgement, and expectation. It can be positive, negative or it can be uncertain at the same time. Attitude also can be described as a learned tendency to evaluate things in a certain way which included evaluation of an object, events, people, and thought. Parents and peers have been long recognized as central elements of youths’ experience everywhere around the world. Communication from peers to peers has a high possibility of influence on attitudes, behaviours, and decision-making process. The influence of peer groups on youths is beyond the family’s capability because peer groups satisfy the need for a sense of belonging of youths. However, what is the factors that cause an attitude change among youths in communication? Thus, this research been conducted to determine the factors that contribute to the attitude change in communication among youth. This is qualitative research, and the phenomenological study was chosen as the research design to amplify the implication, value, and essence of lived experiences of a person in a specific phenomenon. The in-depth interview has been conducted on 12 informants from difference races by using semi-structured interview in collecting the data. Five main factors contribute to attitude change in communication among youth. Peers have the biggest influence on attitude change in communication. The implication of this research is people understand that persuasive communication is a process of shifting a person’s attitude or behaviour toward an incident, idea, and object by using text or verbal words to transfer information, feelings and thought to them, nevertheless, they do not aware that it might take place in any situation and can be happened in anytime.
