Adolescent has always been a potential target group that would be recruited as members in gangsterisme. There are certain characteristics that may increase the involvement of individual in gangsterism. Therefore, this study aims to identify social-demographic and family’s social-economy profile of the Indian adolescent who are involved in gangsterism in Sungai Petani, Kedah. A total of 70 Indian adolescents who are members of the gang had involved in this study by utilizing purposive sampling technique. A survey research through questionnaire was used to collect the data. The result of the study shown that majority of adolescent ranging from 16 to 17 years of age and with poor academic achievement in school had involved in gangsterism. Based on parents’ income, type of job and education level, the study concluded that most of the respondents came from families with low social-economy status. This study would like to suggest that the prevention measure on the problem of gangsterism have to be holistic as well as taking into consideration various types of client’s system.
